My family would like to thank all of the volunteers and supporters for our Double Miracle Fundraiser. It was a much-needed event that has reminded us why we fought so hard over the years to keep our family here in the Valley. We have been so overwhelmed with terrible news and events that we kind of became numb to our surroundings; thanks to the circumstances we have been challenged with.
This event allowed us to become overwhelmed by good and truly genuine support of our friends, neighbors, colleagues and coworkers. We are so privileged to have such support! I am amazed at the work they did to support us, without regard of their own time and resources.
I was especially proud of the community support and from folks who have never met us, but sought to find ways to support us. From the drummers, singers and dancers to the many bakers and donations for the silent auction, all of them traded their family time and came to support mine. It was a truly humbling experience.
We came away from the event thankful. Thankful for the support, thankful for all the positive vibes we felt in the building, but most of all, thankful to be able to witness this community support, not all of us are afforded this opportunity to feel the love of our friends, neighbors, colleagues and coworkers. We are truly blessed!
