To the editor:
As a representative of a nonprofit agency, I would like to personally thank a very dedicated young man who offered to contribute to the new landscaping at Denali Family Services in Wasilla. Gary Robertson, of Boy Scout Troop 368, graciously offered his services as part of a project requirement for his troop to help plant bushes and redesign beds with ornate rocks to the exterior grounds of our agency building.
As our clients are primarily children of all ages, it was a joy to tell the children in services that a young man was responsible for the upgrade of our facility. Role models are not always easy for children to find, and Gary was an example of the type of role model this community needs, and we wanted to acknowledge him for his volunteer efforts.
The physical appearance of our facility is now more esthetically beautiful and looks like a professional agency. Thank you again to Gary Robertson and his contributions to our children’s environment and our agency.
