Each of the four Valley prep football teams will be the host for conference action this week.
Palmer, Colony and Wasilla will host key Northern Railbelt Conference battles, while Houston will look for its second Greatland Conference victory of the year at home.
Palmer (1-0, 2-2) will host their first conference home game of the season as Lathrop visits Machetanz Field today at 7 p.m. The Malemutes (1-0, 3-1) got 350 yard passing and four touchdown performance from senior quarterback Brock Graziadi in a 42-41 overtime win over the North Pole Patriots last week.
The Patriots (0-1, 3-1) will travel to Wasilla to take on the Warriors (0-1, 1-3) today at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Field.
Each team will be looking for a win after starting off its conference schedule last week with a loss.
Colony (1-0, 2-2) will host the West Valley Wolfpack (0-1, 2-2) Saturday at 3 p.m. at Colony High School. West Valley is still looking for its first win over a 4A opponent. The Wolfpack wins have come over Houston and Eielson.
Houston (1-2, 1-3) looks to halt a three-game slide as it hosts Sitka at Houston High School, today at 6 p.m. Sitka is 1-3 after a 27-12 loss to Homer last week.
