ANCHORAGE — Justin Kauffman scored a game-high 22 points to lead the West Anchorage Eagles to a 75-39 win over the Wasilla Warriors at West High School on Friday.
Kauffman, one of three West players to score 19 or more points, helped move the Eagles to a 21-9 lead after the first and 40-19 halftime advantage.
John Knowles led the Warirors with nine points, while Conner Devine added eight.
The game marked the rematch of Wasilla upset of top-seeded West during the first round of the 2008-09 4A state championships. It was also the season-opener for both squads.
