HOUSTON — The West Valley Wolfpack overcame a 35-point effort from Houston senior Zack Qual to grab a 66-59 Mid-Alaska Conference win over the Hawks at Houston High School on Friday.
Qual hit 10-of-21 shots from the floor and 5-of-9 from beyond the arc en route to his 35-point performance. The senior also sank 10-of-14 attempts from the free throw line. Qual scored 19 of Houston’s 24 points in the fourth quarter.
In girls action, West Valley scored the 46-15 win over the Hawks.
