What would make readers happy?

To the editor:

The Frontiersman can now become the best newspaper in Alaska. The opportunity is ripe for the pickins.

For two weeks or a month, ask the people what they want to see in your paper. Make your paper a daily paper. Question us, get our input, see what’s gonna sell. Don’t put your paper online. Why give them a free paper?

Myself, I enjoy sitting down and reading a good, interesting paper. I used to find that in the Anchorage Daily News — a good, interesting newspaper — but it’s not anymore. It’s just a useless and ignorant piece of crap.

I’d like to read Lynne Curry’s very informational column once or twice a week. I’d like to see your paper have better comics like Chad Carpenter’s “Tundra.” He lives in Wasilla, so why shouldn’t we have his comic strip in the local paper?

You can have someone from the major villages or areas like Juneau, Bethel, Kenai, Fairbanks and Anchorage e-mail the top stories and photos from their areas on a daily basis.

Please give us a reason to buy your paper at 75 cents a day instead of the so-called ADN (Anchorage Daily News) that calls itself a newspaper and had nerve to raise its paper to 75 cents a day and $1.50 on Sunday when it’s not worth a 25-cent piece weekly and 50 cents on Sunday.

Go ahead, ask us what would make us happy.
