Where does the money go?

I received a flier in the mail urging me to raise my already high property taxes to pay for road projects the state and Mat-Su Borough can’t seem to budget or plan ahead for.

The phone number on the flier is an Anchorage number, so you have to call long distance. I have two questions:

1. Why can’t the state and Borough budget and plan?

2. About the road use tax we pay to state, federal and (local), if they can’t seem to be included into a budget/need formula, where does this money go?
