What justifies Valley residents paying 15 to 20 cents more per gallon than residents 30 miles down the road? I challenge just one Valley gas station, in our beautiful valley, to lower their rates in line with the Eagle River or Anchorage prices. Within just a few days there would be lines forming at that location filling up their tanks, choosing that station over the others in the Valley. This volume would more than make up for the lower price per gallon.
It is really sad that Valley residents have to make a point out of stopping in Eagle River or Anchorage to fill up, instead of using our own stations here in the Valley. Come on, Valley gas stations; let’s see you care for our residents’ pockets, instead of making your own even BIGGER.
