The way of life for moose and salmon to thrive is only possible with abundant clean water and an environment free of continuous blasting and dust.
Usibelli Coal Mining Inc. plans to use at least 100 gallons per minute of pure, clean water to wash coal that should have been left in the ground. The formerly clean water will then be turned into toxic sludge and dumped into ponds that will start seeping into the water supply. The 100 gallons per minute amount doesn’t even include what they will exploit for the processing plant or washing all their dirty equipment.
