Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Mr. William Miller (Shintock), 46, died July 2, 2004, of natural causes, at Valley Hospital in Palmer.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 7 p.m., July 20, at the Tug Bar, which is located at the end of Knik Road.
Mr. Miller was born Aug. 28, 1957, in Hagerstown, Md.
He began his residence in Wasilla in 1997 and came to live in Big Lake and then Clam Gulch.
His family said he loved them, and passed on these words from him, "To my loving family, and to my loving friends that I left behind: I've gone fishing!"
Mr. Miller is survived by his brother, J.R. Miller of Maryland; ex-wife, April Miller, of Clam Gulch; daughter, Virginia Scates, of Big Lake; son-in-law, James Scates, of Big Lake; grandson, Anthony Scates, of Big Lake; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Scates, of Big Lake.
Mr. Miller's ashes will be scattered over Hatcher Pass and at Clam Gulch.
His family requests that memorial donations be sent to Virginia Scates, HC 34, Box 2276, Wasilla, AK 99654.
Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
