Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

William Nevel Bush, 82, died Jan. 25, 2006, at his residence in Wasilla. Graveside services will be held Fridayat 2:30 p.m., at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.
Mr. Bush was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Liberty, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 7, 1943-Nov. 30, 1964, and retired with 21 years of service. He moved to Alaska in 1972, and worked for the Mat-Su Borough School District, from which he retired a few years ago.
Mr. Bush is survived by five daughters, Cynthia, Connie, and Paula, all of New York, Billie Christensen, and Wilda Bush of Alaska; one son, Charles Bush of New York, and many grandchildren in both New York and Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Audry, and his son, William Jr. Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
