A Willow man was flown to an Anchorage hospital Saturday night after being discovered unresponsive underneath a truck stuck in the snow in sub-zero temperatures, troopers said Sunday. In an online dispatch, Troopers said they along with EMS personnel were called to Mile 39 of Willow Fishhook Road around 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of a 2006 Ford F250 in the ditch and an unresponsive male underneath it. The man was identified as 58-year-old Willow resident Keith Preston Stephens.“Preliminary investigation results indicate Stephens drove into the ditch and exited the vehicle, slipping and falling in the snow, ending up under the vehicle,” troopers wrote. “Stephens was flown to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage with suspected life threatening injuries due to hours of exposure to sub-zero temperatures. The incident is still under investigation.”
