WASILLA — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Susitna Valley.
According to the storm warning, which is in effect until noon Tuesday, the heaviest snow is expected in the areas west of the Parks Highway. By Tuesday morning, the warning states, that area of heavy snowfall will have shifted to the area north of Talkeetna.
Areas south of Talkeetna will likely see rain mixed in with snow. The weather service predicts between 16 and 30 inches of accumulation.
