PALMER — Palmer High School 2011 graduate Tessa Witherspoon-Muilenburg has signed to play hockey for the Division III Cortland Red Dragons under coach Earl Utter. The Red Dragons play in the ECAC-West.
Tessa just finished a year of post-graduate studies at Wyoming Seminary College preparatory school.
“Playing post-grad at Wyoming was great. It had so much to offer, and it was great for me to figure out what I really want to do,” Witherspoon-Muilenburg said.
Witherspoon-Muilenburg played three years for the Palmer boys’ varsity team, as well as one year for the Mat-Su Ravens girls’ team. She played on various travel teams during the high school off-season that earned her spot at Wyoming, which in turn earned her a spot at Cortland.
Witherspoon-Muilenburg will compete with another incoming freshman for the starting goaltender position.
