EAGLE RIVER — The Palmer Moose opened their 2013-14 hockey season with a 2-0 loss to Eagle River at the McDonald Center Friday.
Palmer out-shot Eagle River 24-19 in the loss. Austin McCain recorded 17 saves for the Moose.
Palmer hosts South Anchorage in its home opener Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the MTA Events Center in Palmer.
