WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers report that a woman thrown from an ATV earlier this week has succumbed to her injuries.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Kirby D. Anderson, 24, of Wasilla, was riding on a 2007 Polaris Ranger ATV driven by Brandon L. Dickey, 26, of Wasilla.
According to troopers, Dickey took a hard left turn on Bogard Road and Anderson was thrown from the ATV’s right side.
Anderson was airlifted to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage that day for emergency surgery. Dickey was arrested for drunken driving, assault and weapons misconduct.
Troopers report that at 1 p.m. Thursday Anderson died at the hospital of her injuries.
As of late Friday morning, court databases showed no new charges filed against Dickey. Prison records showed he was still jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility.
