According to Alaska State Troopers, a wreck happened at 8:54 a.m., Thursday when Corrina McCord, 47, of Wasilla, rear-ended an Enstar truck pulling a trailer loaded with a piece of construction equipment. McCord was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with what emergency crews described as minor injuries. Central Mat-Su Assistant Fire Chief Michael Keenan said they had to cut off the door of McCord’s minivan. “She was pinned, her door wouldn’t open so we had to use some rescue equipment to get her out.” Keenan said the other driver — identified by troopers as Peter Nolfi, 33, of Wasilla — was not hurt.
