Fire left dogs and a new litter of puppies without place to stay
SUTTON — A Friday the 13th fire in Sutton has left a woman searching for homes for her dogs.
Christel Seager's trailer burned to the ground April 13. Now, she is hoping people can help by adopting her dogs.
"They are all really good with kids, and they come with doghouses and chains," Seager said.
She has a registered pit bull, a German shepherd mix which has an 8-month-old puppy, two dogs that are 44-percent wolf, and a litter of wolf puppies, which were born the day after the fire.
"The wolf pups can't be around cats, but the rest are great house pets," Seager said. "They are cuddle bugs."
Seager is staying with her mother in Palmer until she can find an apartment.
Seager owned the trailer, but rented the land upon which it sat. The land owner evicted Seager, but she said she has another trailer if she can find land to put it on.
The German shepherd puppy is at a local veterinarian being treated after it was "torn up" by another dog while fire trucks were on the scene.
Seager said she doesn't know if she will be able to pay the vet bill, so the dog may be taken to the pound, she said.
Anybody interested in adopting one of Seager's pets may call her at 746-1298.
