To the editor:
I recommend unreservedly a vote for Dianne Woodruff in the coming mayoral election. Mrs. Woodruff is a concerned member of WASI who has attended many board and other meetings and has given valuable advice during the recent reorganization. She visits the center — I had the privilege of having lunch there with her just last week.
At the recent WASI mayoral forum, she was most positive about the future of Wasilla. She believes in selecting the best possible personnel and expecting a superior performance. As a present council member and a Certified Public Accountant, she has a firm grasp on city finances and has proved conservative and cautious in dealing with taxpayer money.
A beneficent change has taken place at WASI, more and more members are coming in for the delicious food prepared by Chef Ken. The activities schedule is expanding. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The Foraker Group’s influence through the interim director also is very positive.
And with the promised reconsideration of the bylaws, WASI will regain its reputation as a comfortable, caring place devoted to seniors.
