The Palmer Bar wants to give out a huge thank you to all the businesses and individuals that helped make our Wounded Warriors benefit a success. It was a great time, and everyone who attended gave their all.
Our main contributors where K&L and Odem Distributors. We received wonderful donations also from: Browns Electric, Country Legends 100.9, Creek Shore Estates, Noisy Goose, Alan and Peterson, Wasilla Arctic Cat, Big Lake Arctic Cat, Hartley Motors, Arctic Ink, The Gallery, Napa, Mat-Su Miners, Six Robblees, Dave Stockes Ag-Pro Pre-cast, Denny Hamann and Dave Derfour.
Construction cones were donated by the Palmer Public Works Department, the pig was cooked by Brett and Dina Strawb, and Nick Van-weld assisted. Mike Stark was our emcee for the night and, of course, the main man of Alaska Healing Hearts, James Hastings and his wife Mary, were there to help with the presentation of the Lab puppy to the wounded warrior who attended. The purebred Lab was donated by Jim and Carrie Agre.
The presentation was heartwarming and brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The warrior was extremely excited and grateful. In his thank you speech he mentioned he had always wanted a puppy and had never had one.
So, thank you everyone again for making this day special. It was a great honor to help support the men and women who give their lives for us every day to keep us safe. They will continue to be in our prayers and will never be forgotten.
