14 new COVID-19 cases reported in Alaska Tuesday, total at 133

There were 14 new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday, according to the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.

Of those 14, five are in Fairbanks, four in Juneau, two in Anchorage, two in Eagle River and one in Kenai. Five of the 14 are considered close contact cases and two are travel related, while seven are still under investigation.

There are now 133 total cases, as of Tuesday evening. Gov. Mike Dunleavy said during a press conference Tuesday evening that more than 4,000 Alaskans had been tested for COVID-19. Nine individuals have been hospitalized and three suffered a coronavirus related death.

There are now 65 total positive cases in the Municipality of Anchorage, which also includes JBER, Girdwood, Chugiak and Eagle River. There are 27 cases in Fairbanks and 13 in Ketchikan.

As of Tuesday the Mat-Su Borough has three positive cases, all in Palmer.
