rThe Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported 27 new COVID-19 cases in the state. It’s Alaska’s largest single-day total since state officials began tracking the coronavirus.
Four of the new cases are in Wasilla bringing the Mat-Su Borough total to 29. The four cases equal the total number reported in the borough for the first 30 days of May.
There were also a dozen cases reported in Anchorage, three in Kenai, three in Eagle River, two in Homer, one in Soldotna, one in the Kenai Peninsula Borough and one in Anchor Point.
There was also a positive report for a nonresident, a seafood industry employee in the Dillingham area. The total number of nonresident positive tests is 21.
There has been a total of 460 cases in Alaska, with 358 considered recovered.
