Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Alane Louise Allen, 64, passed away Oct. 29, 2014, in Eagle River following a car accident. A memorial service was at 6 p.m., Nov. 5 at Anchorage Free Methodist Church, 4607 East 6th Ave., Anchorage. Officiates are Pastors Bill and Stacy Stone.
Alane was born Aug. 2, 1950, in Hearne, Texas. She worked as a special education teacher in Mineral Wells, Bryan, Duncanville, DeLeon and Lytle, Texas before moving to Alaska in the fall of 2004. She continued her work as a special education teacher in Kotzebue, Palmer and Anchorage. She lived in Eagle River at the time of her passing.
She was an active member of Anchorage Free Methodist Church.
Alane is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Derick Rowlan of Anchorage; son and daughter-in-law, Bennett and Stephanie Dryden of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Addison, Wyatt, Fischer and Kellen Rowlan of Anchorage and Alyssa, Makayla and Samara Dryden of Denison, Texas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kehl’s Legacy Funeral Home.
