The Alaska Food Resource Working Group will discuss their respective roles in Alaska’s food system, particularly with respect to food security, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Jan. 9 at the Alaska Division of Agriculture’s Plant Materials Center, 5310 S. Bodenburg Spur Rd., Palmer.
The Alaska Food Resource Working Group was created to recommend policies and measures to increase the purchase and consumption of local farm products and wild seafood and to work with the Alaska public and stakeholders to promote a healthy food system in the state.
The meeting is open to the public and will include a public comment period. Persons who wish to participate by telephone may do so by calling (800) 315-6338 CODE 122#.
