Alene Marcia Coburn

Alene Marcia Coburn, age 67, passed away on September 13, 2016 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska with her loving husband at her side.

Alene was born on December 30, 1948 in Newport, Rhode Island to Warren and Marcia (Thompson) Coburn.

Alene received and Bachelors of Science degree from Park University in Parkville, Missouri. She served her country in the United State Air Force from 1973-1977, when she was honorably discharged. Alene was an active member of Amaranth Court #1 and Order of Eastern Star Chapter #14. She enjoyed making chocolate desserts for local bazaars and donating the funds to diabetes research.

Alene is survived by her husband David A. Dunivan; daughter M. Dawn Arbogast (Lyndon R. Arbogast); grandsons David R. Arbogast, Tiberius R. Arbogast, and Alexander R. Arbogast; son Scott Dunivan (Jenna Dunivan); brothers Bruce Coburn (Debbie Coburn) and James Colburn (Michelle Coburn), and Step mom Ellen Coburn.

There will be a public visitation on September 19, 2016 beginning at 11:00am at Janssen’s Mat-Su Funeral Home, 6901 E. Blue Lupine Drive. Funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 12:00pm. She will be inurned in Newport, Rhode Island at a later date. Memorial bequests can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
