ALVIN CARL RUDOLPH

Lifelong Alaska resident Alvin Carl Rudolph, 69, passed away June 19, 2010, at Michael’s North Star Assisted Living Home in Palmer.

He was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Juneau, to Paul and Assunta (Hill) Rudolph.

Mr. Rudolph lived in Hoonah and Anchorage for years before moving to Palmer and calling it his home. He was employed as a fisherman in the early 1980s and was also a member of Sealaska Corp. His hobbies included painting and reading.

Mr. Rudolph is survived by his sister, Pauline Andersen of Sweden; brothers, Paul Rudolph, Byron Rudolph, Alessandro Hill, Vernon Hill and Raino Hill, all of Hoonah, Royal Hill of Juneau, and Joe Rudolph and Harold Rudolph Sr., both of Anchorage, and sisters, Myra Doré of Tacoma, Wash., Evelyn Hatemaker, Lina Hill Edwards and Macy Ann Hill, all of Juneau, Tina Hill Martin of Hoonah, and Sharon Rudolph Kay and Cecelia Rudolph Lobdell, both of Anchorage. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rudolph was preceded in death by his mother, Assunta Hill; father, Paul Rudolph Sr.; brother, Miles Murphy; nephew, Bryon Rudolph Jr; Wesley Johnson, Roy Hill and Heath Hill.

The family would like to express its thanks to Michael’s Place for taking care of him for all of these years.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
