Alyn Dunaway 73, passed away on February 11, 2022 at home with his family in Tyler, Texas of pancreatic cancer. Alyn was the son of Roy and Katheryn (Craven) Dunaway. He was born in California, but raised in West Texas, he always considered himself a Texan even after 49 years in Alaska. Alyn joined the Army in 1967 and spent time in Germany and Vietnam before being assigned to Ft. Richardson where he met his wife Donna and married her in 1973. He was the father of two children, Gregory and Sandra. Alyn spent 30 years working at packing and crating on EAFB, AK, retiring in 2007. He resided in Wasilla from 1983 until May 2021 when he moved to Texas. Alyn enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling and Cowboy’s football. Alyn is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Gregory (Jenny) and granddaughter Raegan; his mother, Katheryn; sisters, Sherri (Don) Williams, Becky (Bill) Surber; and brother, Ricky (Debbie) Dunaway all of Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy and his daughter, Sandra. His final resting place will be at Eastland Cemetery in Eastland, Texas.
