Anfesa Marie Galaktionoff

Anfesa Marie Galaktionoff, 28, passed away Jan. 4, 2014, from an industrial accident while living in Lovell, Wyo.

Anfesa was born in Anchorage July 6, 1985. She grew up in the Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley areas until she was 9 ½ years old, when the family moved to Wyoming.

As a horse-lover, she dearly fell head-over-heels in love with her new home. Her dreams of owning and breeding horses were coming true until medical issues struck in 2002, forcing the family back to Alaska. Even though she had only been there for seven years, Wyoming held a special place in her heart. Six years later, Anfesa finally got the opportunity to return home to Wyoming in 2008 to fulfill her dreams as a horse breeder.

She is survived in loving memory by her mother and step-father, Colleen and Colton Savage; her father, Nectary Galaktionoff Jr.; 21-year-old sister, Marissa; 15-year-old brother, Dustin; Grandma Smith; Grandma and Grandpa Wisemore; Grandpa Lee Savage, Grandma and Grandpa Wardell, Kamuska Michelle Zellweger, Kamuska Shannon Buterin, Krusna-Papa Alexi Steptin Jr.; as well as the many relatives, friends and adopted family that were part of her life.

The family would like to invite all to her celebration of life ceremonies that will be held in both Wasilla and Anchorage. A celebration of life is planned at 4 p.m., Jan. 22 in Anchorage at the St. Innocent Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 401 Turpin St. A celebration of life is planned at 2 p.m., Jan. 25 at King’s Chapel of Wasilla, 1701 N. Lucille St.
