Angela Parker Welch, 43, died of a sudden and brief illness on Nov. 8, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.
She was born Nov. 24, 1963, in Birmingham, Ala.
Welch was a skilled and valued nurse at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Her commitment to the care and quality of life of others was beautiful and steady. These principles were communicated even in death, as her family fulfilled her wishes for organ donation.
Welch’s friends and colleagues will remember her as a consummate lady — warm, intelligent and funny, always making everyone around her feel valued and comfortable. As a wife and mother, she educated her three children herself and spent every available moment laughing with them and her husband.
Welch is survived by her loving husband, Todd; children, Wesley, Emily and Jaley; brothers, Kenny and Marlin; and sisters, Alana, Lisa and Joanie.
Welch wished to have her ashes scattered on Hatcher Pass where she loved to go with her family. Services will be held there at a time yet to be determined.
Valley Funeral Homes and Crematory of Wasilla and Palmer assisted the family.
