Angela Yvette McKervey passed away peacefully in her sleep May 13 after a fierce battle with cancer. She was 36 years old. She was preceded in death by her mother Janice L. Jureack and brother Michael (Spike) McKervey, and survived by her father Michael C. McKervey and daughter Mary Jane (MJ) McKervey.
Originally from Wasilla, Alaska, Angela was born at the hospital in Palmer to Michael C. McKervey and Janice L. Jureack. She attended college at Mat-Su UAA, working on a business degree. She was a waitress at many establishments in the Mat-Su area over the years. Living in Oregon for the past few years, overcoming many obstacles, she chose to come back home to be with her father and to finish out her journey.
