Ann Mary Schraeder (formerly Kurbel), 96, passed away April 15, 2015, after suffering a stroke the previous day at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, Palmer.
She was born in August 1918. She enjoyed those who surrounded her in her last years, and her life was comfortable at her home on the farm in her own apartment, owned by her daughter, Suzanne Nevada, and Rick Williams of Wasilla.
She loved her many friends through the Wasilla Senior Center and Sacred Heart Church as well as other clubs. She loved her gardening and animals, and in years previous enjoyed crochet and stitchwork.
She was in great health for her age, going twice a week to Mid-Valley Senior Center for lunch and games. Her part-time PCA was a joy in her life, making each day much easier. And her weekly visit with Dorothy from Sacred Heart to receive the Sacrament was a highlight of her week for years!
A memorial mass will be held at St Joseph Church in Howell, Mich., with burial in the family gravesite next to her husband, Bronislaws, and her mother and father and brothers.
Thank you to all who made her life whole. May she rest in peace.
