Former Palmer resident Anne M. Holder, 60, of Beaver Dam, Wisc., and also formerly of Dubuque, died April 11, 2011, at her home in Beaver Dam.
Funeral services are today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Key West, Iowa. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa. Visitation was at the Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 390 N. Grandview Ave., Dubuque.
Anne was born Jan. 13, 1951, in Dubuque, the daughter of Carl and JoAnn (Kies) Reiss. She graduated from Bellevue-Marquette High School and received her master’s degree in sociology from Clarke College. She was a social worker in Dubuque, Wasilla, and most recently, in Pewaukee, Wisc. She spent her life helping those who couldn’t help themselves.
Anne married David Holder on Nov. 13, 1999, in Dodgeville, Wisc.
Surviving are her mother; husband, David Holder; seven children; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and seven siblings.
Preceding her in death were her father; a son, Troy Meyer; and her in-laws, Ven and Jean Holder.
An Anne Holder Memorial Fund has been established.
