Anthony L. Radford died unexpectedly from post-surgical complications on August 26, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska at the age of 51.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Gayle Radford of Redding, CA. and Lawrence Radford of Reno, NV; wife, Julie of Sutton, AK; children, Nikole Radford (Austin) of Portland, OR; April Radford of Clearwater, FL; stepdaughter Sage Stoneking (Richard) of Anchorage; siblings, Sean Whittaker of Astoria, OR; and Janet Dennis (Gary) of Butte, AK. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ona Radford of Long Beach, CA and mother-in-law, Joan Stoneking of Anchorage, AK.

Anthony was born on January 12, 1971, in Alameda, CA. After high school, Anthony joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Conserver in Pearl Harbor, HI. There he met his first wife and mother of his girls, Nickey. After his honorable discharge, they moved to Talkeetna and opened Alohas Alaskan Grill. Nickey and Anthony parted ways in 2002. Anthony and Julie met via an online dating site in 2003, quickly fell in love, and lived in Anchorage where he cherished being a stay-at-home dad. In 2009, they moved to his dream property in Sutton and married in 2015.

Anthony loved Alaska, moose hunting, bird watching, tending to his sunflowers, and his three St. Bernard’s; Daffodil, Oliver, and Moose.

A celebration of life is scheduled for the first weekend after moose hunting season, October 1, 2022, at 1pm at the Alaska State Fairgrounds, Colony Church.
