Anthony “Tony” Phillip Gangi, 57, an Alaskan since 1985, died June 2 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.
Anthony was born May 3, 1952 in Saint Paul, Minn. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Cynthia L. Gangi of Wasilla; daughters, Tina M. Smith of Wasilla; Stacy L. Gangi of Wasilla; and Laurie A. Mitchell of Anchorage; sons-in-law, Patrick Smith and Lester Mitchell; granddaughters, Amber A. Bares, Brianna L. Gangi, Kashonda D. Mitchell, Naomi M. Mitchell, and Chloe K. Smith; grandson, Gavin A. Smith; father, Tony S. Gangi; one brother and four sisters; and grand son-in-law, Jason Bares.
Anthony was loved deeply by his family and will never be forgotten. The family will have a celebration of his life for family and friends.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
