Arlene Sue Deel

July 30, 1970 - February 18, 2025

Arlene Sue (Foley) Deel, 54 of Palmer, AK gained her victory on February 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Arlene was born on July 30, 1970 in Vancouver, Washington to Bruce and Edna (Cunningham) Foley.

In August of 1988 Arlene moved to Alaska, where she married Matthew James Deel on July 15, 1989, they were married for 35 years. In April of 1998 they moved from Anchorage to Palmer. Arlene was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Matt and Arlene were not able to have children of their own, but she was like a mother to many. She was always firm in her faith and quick to confess it to others.

Arlene is survived by her husband Matthew Deel of Palmer, Alaska. She is also survived by two brothers Leroy Foley of Watkins, MN and Brent (Edythe) Foley of Davenport, WA, three sisters; Yvonne (Dennis) Kangas of Davenport, WA, Cherie (Peder) Pedersen of Davenport, WA and Rosalie (Jonathon) Deel of Palmer, AK and many dear Christian friends.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Edna, three brothers William, Wayne and Oren, and one sister, Renee Bender.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 9405 E Terry St., Palmer, Alaska.
