Arlyn Leslie Crago, 75, passed away June 18, 2013, in Anchorage.
A graveside service with military honors is at 1 p.m., June 24 at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.
Arlyn was born June 8, 1937, in Corsica, S.D., to Archie and Laverne Crago.
He was a man of adventure and lived by his own rules. He grew up in Nevada and graduated from South Tahoe High School, where he competed in skiing, baseball and basketball.
He later married June Marie Runyn and has two children, Kimberley and Markum. Arlyn was a veteran of the Korean War and was a pit boss in Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed hunting, was a pro-am golfer, a semi-pro motorcycle racer and loved cars. Arlyn moved to Alaska, The Last Frontier, 30 years ago when he made Wasilla his home.
They family wrote: “He will truly be missed by his family.”
He is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Kim and Roy Good; son, Markum Crago; brothers, Jacque, Gary, Archie, Rick and Darrell; sisters, Ardean, Nadine and Cherri; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his Alaskan friend, Don Showers.
