Artis Kelley

Artis Kelley, 53, surrounded by family and friends, passed away Feb. 18, 2010, in Palmer. Artis was born in Montana on June 30, 1956.

Artis attended the Church on the Rock in Palmer. She was also an artist and loved painting. She also loved the outdoors — camping, fishing and four-wheeling at Jim Creek and other places in Alaska. Artis also loved all of her grandchildren very much; they were her pride and joy.

Artis will be missed immensely by her husband, children and grandchildren.

Artis is survived by her husband of 33 years, Paul Kelley Sr., children, Artisha Winfrey and husband Cameron, Tera Kelley, Paul Kelley Jr. and wife Amy; brothers, Richard and Willard Ish; sisters, Jessie Ish and Anita Montgomery; grandchildren, Echo, Jordan, Isaiah, Elijah, Mikayla, Jayden, Marilynn, Summer, Haven and baby Arien; biological mother Juanita Tyner and husband George; dearest friends, Kirk and Kathie Wessel/Sanderson, Joni Miller, Marlas Prevo and many more family and friends.

Artis was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bette Ish. Spreading of her ashes and a gathering will be held at Jim Creek at a later date.
