Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Ashley Renee Cartwright, 25, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at home, surrounded by family after a quick battle with Cervical Cancer. She was born Sept. 11, 1992, in Albany, Oregon, to Ronald Cartwright and Donna Cartwright. A 2010 West Albany High School Graduate, she was an amazing, bubbly individual that touched so many people in her short life. She leaves behind her greatest achievements, her sons, Ryker (4) and Sylas (1).
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron; and both sets of grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Donna; sisters, Misty Goodenough, Nicole Currier, Janie Breeding, Wendy Cartwright, Marjorie Cartwright; and brother, Ron Cartwright.
At this time no services have been planned but the family asks that people hold onto Ashley’s memory and honor it by paying it forward in your own way, so she can continue to touch people.
