Audrey Maureen Daken

Palmer resident Audrey Maureen Daken, 77, passed away at the Palmer Pioneer Home on Feb. 28, 2008 of natural causes.

A service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Palmer Pioneer Home. Pastor Jonathon Rocky will officiate.

Daken was born on April 12, 1930 in Missoula, Mont. She came to Alaska in 1964 and had lived in Seward until 1981. Then she moved to Palmer and had lived in multiple locations. She was self-employed in Seward and did auto repairs.

Her special interest was playing music for gatherings. Her family wrote: “She loved to visit, play music and watch her great-grandchildren race their cars at the track.”

She is survived by her children Richard R. Daken, Linda A. Snell, and Tamera J. Malaski; brother Warren Williams; sisters Maretta Davis, Pat Hanson and Gloria Landon; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Palmer Pioneer Home at 250 E. Fireweed, Palmer, AK, 99645.

Arrangements were entrusted to Kehl’s Palmer Mortuary.
