A celebration of life was held for Avery J. Swinson, 7, of Coos Bay, Ore., on Feb. 20, 2010, at Coos Bay Chapel, with great uncle Rick Howard presiding. A graveside service was held Feb. 22 at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay.
Avery was born on May 13, 2002, in Portland, Ore., to LaMont and Ashley Swinson. She died Feb. 17 at her home in Coos Bay with her family at her side.
Avery was a ray of sunshine who touched so many lives in so many ways in her short time on Earth. Avery could light up a room with her contagious smile and giggle. She attended Blossom Gulch Elementary, where she enjoyed playing and learning with her friends. Avery was an angel on Earth and now her family believes their angel is flying free in Heaven. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Her family believes they will be reunited with their little “Mooshie-Moo” again.
Avery is survived by her loving parents, LaMont and Ashley Swinson; brothers Monty and Carter Swinson; grandma and grandpa Tom and Sandy Howard of Oregon; grandma and grandpa Andy and Kandee Murr of Alaska; aunts and uncles Dondi and Travis Howard, Brooke and Joe Boyd of Oregon, Victoria Peterson and Bobby Miller of Alaska; and cousins Tanner and Tori Howard of Oregon.
