Avia Rosanna Herring received her Heavenly Body and complete peace and comfort on Nov. 17, 2017. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 7, 1986, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Michael Herring and Janet Ross. The family left Alaska for Michael Herring to enter the Navy in 1987 returning in 1991. Avia graduated from Raven Correspondence in 2005 and Alaska Career Academy in 2012 with an Associates of Applied Sciences in Office Management and Computer Sciences. Avia was the greatest of gifts to many and especially her son James. She touched many people she didn't even know through her uplifting online businesses and training classes. Avia was a strong, loving, compassionate person and an extraordinary mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was always available to assist anyone in any way she was able. Avia enjoyed gardening, preserving foods, cooking, crocheting, knitting, beading, and sketching.
Avia is survived by her son James, her father Michael Herring, her step-father Harry Ross, her mother, Janet Ross, her sister Aleena Herring, her brother Kevin Herring, her maternal grandparents Jack and Deloris Frank, her paternal grandparents Hugh and Linda Herring, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her significant other Charles Bass.
