Wasilla resident, Barbara A. Juge, 95 years old, passed away peacefully at Primrose on Saturday August 13, 2016.
Barbara was born on February 5, 1921 in Lafayette, Louisiana, but moved to Southern California after her marriage to Louis and raised her 7 children there.
She retired to Alaska with her husband, Louis Juge in 1985 and loved to travel but always returned to her home in Wasilla.
Barbara was a devout catholic who always strived to help friends and neighbors in their times of need and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Charles, John, Michele, Rose and Jeanette; grandchildren Grettel, Annette, Jacob, Daryl, Simon, Christopher and Joshua; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; along with siblings, Michael, Priscilla, Theresa and Rita.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Louis; daughter, Patricia Marie; son, Louis Patrick; and grandson Roderic Paul.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monday August 22nd at 2 p.m. with a reception following.
Arrangements were under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
