Barbara Ann Rice

August 22, 1931 - December 8, 2018

Barbara Ann Rice, 87 years old, of Anchorage and Wasilla passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Daughter of Ralph Denn and Lovens Day, she grew up in Washington. After years traveling the United States as a Coast Guard Wife, Barb made her home in Alaska in 1976. She enjoyed fishing, camping, church, arts and crafts, and helping anyone that came into her life. Barb was very open hearted and loving. She is preceded in death by both her parents. Loved ones that Barb leaves behind are daughters, Janie (Dennis), and Susan. Sons, Randy and Martin (Sarah), nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hearts and Hands of Care Inc. for keeping Barbara young at heart by participating in activities, and a big thank you to all of the workers at Northern Comfort Assisted Living in Wasilla for their loving care of Barbara. Funeral Services will be held at Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, January 5 at 2:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements were made by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation.
