Barbara was born to Elmer and Lottie Sexton on May 16, 1958, in Palmer. She attended school in Palmer. She and her husband, Ron, purchased her Uncle Frank’s home and made it their own for the past 28 years. It was extra special to her, as it adjoined the property of her childhood home, where her brother Mark resides now with his family. This brought her great joy to continue to live where she had such great childhood memories.

She married her first husband, Hank Warner and together they had a son, Hank. She later married Thomas Hooks, blending their two families together with his son, Tommy, who she loved as her own. Later they added daughter Racheal to the family. Barbara’s children were one of her greatest blessings in life.

Many years later, she fell in love with current husband and soul mate Aaron “Ron” Combs who she shared her life and adventures with for 28 years, finding great joy and excitement in everything they did together.

Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, fishing trips and family gatherings. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren. She loved to watch them grow into the loving people they have each become. It was hard to tell who the kid was when they were together, as the time spent was always filled with fun, games and as much laughter as a room could hold.

Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who had the privilege to know her. Her home and arms were always open to anyone in need.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Lottie Sexton; nephew, William Michael Mrak; and cousin, Danny Sexton.

Surviving are her husband, Ron Combs; her children and their spouses/partners, Hank Warner (Kaydawn Clawson), Tommy Hooks, Racheal Hooks, Nathan (Tamara) Combs, and Amanda Combs (Josh Estes); her siblings and spouses, Debra (Don) Magee, Allen (Mary), Michael (Cathy), Clifford (Kenny), Mark Sexton, Cheri (Bill) Mrak; and many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

“She will be dearly missed, and will live in our hearts forever,” her family writes.
