Barbara was born Jan. 17, 1938, in Hartland, N.D., to Alfred and Cora Ronglien. Barbara is a graduate of Minot High School, class of 1955. Her residency in Alaska began Aug. 1, 1979. Barbara attended First Lutheran Church in Minot, N.D., and was a life member in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, family and friends.
“She loved to work in her gardens that were full of vegetables and flowers,” her family wrote. “She had a passion for crocheting, a true art she learned from her mother. She liked to hand her finished projects down to her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the holidays, trying to keep up with her grandchildren’s growth and experiences in life. These past five years she gained an extended circle of friends at the Wasilla Senior Center. Whether it was cooking a meal together with lots of laughter or decorating for the holidays, she enjoyed each and every one there. Thank you for making her feel so welcome. She will be missed and loved by everyone whose heart she touched and will never be forgotten.”
Surviving are her son, Guy Allen Storud of Palmer; daughter-in-law, Janet Radamaker of Palmer; daughter, Debbie Lynn Dishon of Palmer; son-in-law, William Delbert Dishon of Palmer; grandchildren, Cody William Dishon, Nikelle Marie Dishon, Isaac Storud, Annette Storud, Halicia Meyer and Slade Storud of Palmer, Rollin Storud of Wasilla and Lynette Arnold of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Dee Lubanski of Spokane, Wash., and Dawn Huso of Minot, N.D.; and brothers, Alfred Ronglien Jr. and Donald Ronglien of Minot, N.D.
