Barbara Mae Roberts-Packard, 61, died Jan. 8, 2013, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.
A celebration of life is from 1 to 4 p.m., Jan. 26 at the Palmer Senior Center, 1132 S. Chugach. Her ashes will be scattered at Long Beach, Calif.
Barbara was born May 13, 1951, in Oakland, Calif., to Robert and Murl Packard. She entered the U.S. Navy on Oct. 28, 1970, serving our nation until Dec. 16, 1975, when she retired for medical reasons. Barbara was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and enjoyed movies and movie collections.
Surviving are her sister, Mary Lou Ringle of Ontario, Calif.; brothers, Robert N. Packard of Palmer and William G. Packard of San Lorenzo, Calif.; sister-in-law, Trudy Packard of San Lorenzo, Calif.; four nieces; four grandnieces; four grandnephews; and five great-grandnephews.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Murl; father, Robert K.; and brother, Thomas.
Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home.
