It is with great sorrow we report the passing of Benjamin Menninga, his family said. He died Oct. 1 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Ben was born Valentine’s Day 1989 in Palmer at Valley Hospital. In 2008 he got his GED and moved to Arizona where he was attending Empire Beauty School. Ben was very gifted and had a true love for soccer which he was involved with for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. We will miss his kindness, gentle nature and ability to make anyone smile.
Ben is survived by his mother, Susan Menninga of Colorado, sister Nicole Menninga of Colorado, grandparents Larry and Cindy Menninga of Wasilla, aunts and uncles Dave and Robin Gibson of Wasilla, and Bill and Joanne Brewer of Plano, Texas. Cousins, Dallas and Tory Dorman, Dalton and Mia Gibson, Kendall Brewer, and niece Makenzi Spitz and many others whose heart he has touched. He is preceded in death by his grandma Ann Menninga.
A memorial in his honor will be held at First Baptist Church in Wasilla on Oct. 23 at 5 p.m.
