Benton Wells Botkin passed away peacefully at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center Oct. 16, 2013.
Ben was born Sept. 4, 1962, to Air Force parents living in Winnemucca, Nev. His life was one of traveling. As a child he grew up fishing and hunting, and he always dearly loved his dogs.
From Montana, Oregon and on, he was treasured by his family and friends. He met Rosemary Taylor and fell in love. They were partners for more than 25 years and Alaska is their home.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Taylor; brother, Brue Botkin; sister, Beverly LaCasse; nephew, Nathan LaCasse.
A memorial potluck is at 6 p.m., Oct. 28 at the Palmer Elks Lodge, 2600 N. Barry’s Resort Dr., Wasilla.
