Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Palmer resident Bernice Kuoppala Boyle, 86, died June 16, 2012, at Horizon House in Anchorage. She moved to Alaska in January 1944.
Bernice worked as a grocery checker at Koslosky’s Department Store in downtown Palmer.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Frank Towell of Battle Ground, Wash.; grandchildren, Jim Sandvik of LaCenter, Wash., and Brenda and her husband Dale Psenak of Palmer; great-grandchildren, Miranda Psenak and Jaime Psenak of Palmer and Mark and his wife Jen Psenak of Cave Creek, Ariz.; and great-great-grandson, Jackson Psenak. She also leaves behind her little dog, KoKo.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her nightly telephone visits with her stepdaughter, Chris Fritz.
Her family wrote: “We, her daughter and grandchildren, will miss Mom and Grandma.”
