Bettie Louise Watkins-Creek was born January 1, 1945, to Edna and Willie Martin in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, we said goodbye to an angel on earth.
She was our reason for being, our rock to cling to, our guardian angel that watched over and protected us all our lives. We take comfort in knowing that she left this life for a better place and that she went peacefully, at home surrounded by her children, and without pain.
In life, she was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and veteran of the United States Army.
She was loved by everyone that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Willie Martin; and brothers, Ellis and Harold Martin, all of Texas; and her husband Charles Watkins of Wasilla, Alaska.
She is survived by her children, Penelope Bennett, of Palmer, Alaska, and Todd Watkins, of Radcliff, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Brandon, Clinten and Cheyanne Bennett; great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Addisyn, Kiera, and Sophia Bennett, all of Palmer, Alaska; her second husband, Larry Creek, of New Boston, Texas; brother, Clarence Martin, of Mt. Vernon, Texas; sister, Dorothy Green of Houston, Texas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
